William “Bill” H. Zachow, 78, Abrams, died peacefully Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at home. He was born July 8, 1944 in Sheboygan to Louis and Alma (Cowell) Zachow. Bill graduated from Oconto Falls High School in 1964 where he was a member of the FFA and later enlisted in the National Guard.
Over the years, Bill worked for Peter’s Concrete and Rusch Trucking before owning and operating Pal’s Septic Service for many years. He was known as a skilled welder and mechanically inclined, with a reputation for working hard and having an outgoing personality. Bill had a love for collecting and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors are two daughters, Jennifer (Jeffrey) Zisser and Tammy (Tim) Birr, his beloved dog “Rosie,” as well as six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and yellow lab “Goldie.”
The family is especially grateful for the friendship and support provided by Darren Rusch and Carla Willa in his last few years.
Visitation will be held at 4:00 to 6:00 pm Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls. Private burial will take place at a future date in Wildwood Cemetery in Sheboygan.
