Wally Faltynski, 74, Oconto Falls, died peacefully Sunday evening, August 12, 2018 at UW Hospital with his family by his side. He was born September 2, 1943 in Green Bay to Joseph “Zip” and Dorothy (Weber) Faltynski. Wally grew up in Green Bay where he attended public schools, graduating from East High School with the class of 1961. Following graduation, he went to work for the City of Green Bay.
On July 9, 1966 he married Corale Bourguignon at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. The couple lived in Green Bay for most of their married lives where Wally proudly served as a garbage man for 40 years, before retiring to Oconto Falls in 2006. He was a member of the Herman’s Club, known for making tasty booyah. Known for his great sense of humor, Wally was also known as Wall Dog, Seagull and Mr. Booyah.
Survivors are his wife of 52 years, Corale Faltynski, Oconto Falls; their three children, Joe (Alice) Faltynski, Jennie (Dennis) Laundrie and Judy (Leo) Johnson, all of Green Bay; seven grandchildren, Jenna and Jacob Faltynski, Brandon and Brianna Laundrie, Tyelor Zenner, Kellen and Darianne Johnson; one sister, Yvonne “Bonnie” (Jim) Delfosse, Green Bay; two sisters-in-law, Verona Faltynski, Green Bay; Sue (Jim) Larsen, Crivitz; two brothers-in-law, Ken Van Lanen, Wild Rose; Jim (Cathy) Jelinski, Crivitz; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Visitation with the urn present will be held after 12 noon Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls until the time of service. Funeral services will be held 3pm Saturday at the funeral home with Deacon Peter Gard officiating.
