Virgil Lee Brown, 69, Abrams, died Wednesday morning, August 25, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Green Bay. He was born May 4, 1952 in Frankfort, MI to Clinton and Marion (Ralston) Brown.
On February 28, 1975 he married Marianne Burdosh in Germany while being stationed with the US Army. Upon his honorable discharge from the military, the couple made their home in Wisconsin where Virgil worked as a mechanical draftsman. He also was active in the Army National Guard from 1987-2014. Virgil enjoyed hunting and woodworking.
Survivors are his wife of 46 years, Marianne Brown, Abrams; two daughters, Johanna (Carl) Blahnik, Abrams; Anna Brown, Milwaukee; two grandchildren, Jared and Samantha Blahnik; one brother, Michael Brown, MI; two sisters, Brenda (Tom) Northrup and Kerry (Steve) McPherson; one sister-in-law, Fran Burdosh and brother-in-law Mike Burdosh, both of Abrams; two nephews, Anthony and Frank (Elyse) Burdosh; one great nephew, Simon Burdosh.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Larry Brown, one sister Beverly Kibby and in-laws, Frank and Anna Burdosh.
Visitation will be held after 9:00 am Saturday, August 28, 2021 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Stiles until the time of services. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 am Saturday at the church with the Rev. Fr. Greg Parent officiating. Burial, with military honors, will take place in the church cemetery immediately following the mass.
