Thomas “Tom” Nolan Trudell, 70, Oconto Falls, died peacefully at home with his family by his side on August 11, 2021, after a three-and-a-half-year battle with cancer. Tom was born October 29, 1950, to Peter Sr and Rose (Nespala) Trudell in Oconto Falls, and always was a proud West-sider. He attended St. Anthony School for 8 years and graduated with the class of ‘69 from Oconto Falls High School. He married classmate Patricia Stiller of Little Suamico on January 15, 1972.
For many years, Tom had his own business, Tom’s Carpet Service, and then became a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service out of the Oconto Falls office. Tom enjoyed hunting, playing baseball, coaching youth baseball, riding on his tractor, and spending time outdoors at his cabin and hunting land. As a boy, he was a state archery champion for shooting instinctively with a recurve bow.
Survivors his wife of 49 years; their five children, Chad (Trisha) Trudell; Polly (Travis) Kopke; Keith (Emilie) Trudell; Luke Trudell; Gregg (Kelly) Trudell; nine grandchildren, Bryce and Kenton Peterson, Riley Yashinsky; Hailey and Griffin Kopke; Abraham and Ezra Trudell, Brooklyn Trudell, and another baby on the way; two brothers, Peter Trudell Jr and John (Jada) Trudell; two sisters-in-law Terri (Les) Kostrova; Gail (William) VandeCastle, one brother-in-law Mike (Kim) Stiller, many nieces and nephews, good friends and bowling buddies.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother in-law, Milan and Grace Stiller, and two sisters-in law, Barbara Trudell and Mary Lemirande.
Visitation with the urn present will be held 3:00 until 8:00 pm Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls. Visitation will continue after 10:00 am Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Oconto Falls until the time of service. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12 Noon at the church with the Rev. Greg Parent officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Proceeds from memorial donations will benefit Oconto Falls Youth Baseball.
