Ruth A. Radke, 88, Oconto Falls, went to her heavenly home Thursday morning, May 23, 2024. She was born March 25, 1936 in Oconto, WI to Charles and Hilda (Bourassa) Loberger. She graduated from Oconto High School with the class of 1954.
On May 17, 1958 she was united in marriage to Rollyn Radke at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Oconto. They made their home in Oconto Falls for the last 66 years. Her greatest joy was caring for her husband and raising her eight children.
Ruth was a faithful Catholic, devoted to the Virgin Mary. She belonged to St. Anthony Parish, where she served as secretary, lector, and Eucharistic minister. She also belonged to the Altar Rosary Society and PCCW. Ruth took several pilgrimages during her lifetime to Medjugorje, Rome, and the Holy Land.
Ruth loved to crochet, celebrate the holidays by sharing her special sugar cookies, write poetry for family and friends, and spend time outdoors.
She is survived by her husband, Rollyn; seven children, Beth (Mark) Bostwick, Baraboo; Joan (Douglas) Brylski, Green Bay; Jane (Larry) Duame, Stiles; Marcia Radke, Tampa, FL; Mary (Mark) Huberty, Stiles; Cary (Darin) Meyer, Green Bay; Joseph Radke, Appleton; daughter in law, Michelle Radke, Appleton; grandchildren, Michael Bostwick, Rachel (Joey) Brylski-Fischbach, Samuel (Zi Lin) Brylski, Amanda (Charles) Triebwasser, Reece and Owen Duame, Jack and Emma Huberty, Mitchell and Hannah Meyer; and great grandchildren, Quinn Fischbach, Anna and Nora Triebwasser.
She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Radke, her parents, and seven siblings.
Visitation will be held after 9:30 AM Friday, May 31, 2024 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Oconto Falls until the time of service. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:00 PM Friday at the church. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery.
