Roger L. Jahnke, 62, Green Bay, died Sunday evening, September 11, 2022 with family present following a one year illness with cancer. He was born December 19, 1959 in Green Bay to Roy and Maxine (Janssen) Jahnke. Roger grew up in Abrams where he attended public schools, graduating from Oconto Falls High School with the class of 1978. Roger lived in the Green Bay area for most of his adult life where he worked as a self-employed carpenter and was also employed with other contractors. He was also a well-known bartender in area bars. Roger enjoyed short and long rides on his Harley Davidson motorcycle where he could be with or visit his many friends.
Survivors are his five siblings, Lyle (Donna) Jahnke, Jim (Karen) Jahnke, Carol (Ron) Kane, all of Abrams; Dick Jahnke, Oconto Falls; Steve (Loni) Jahnke, Pensaukee; two sisters-in-law, Sherrie Jahnke, Green Bay; Cheryl Lowe, Wrightstown; his Aunt and Godmother, Bev Jahnke, Abrams; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was precede in death by his parents and two brothers, Ken and Rob Jahnke.
Visitation with the urn present will be held 4:00 until 8:00 pm Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls. Burial will take place on the family plot in Brookside Cemetery at a later date.
