Randy MacSwain, Oconto Falls, died on his 72 nd birthday at a Milwaukee hospital following an acute illness. He was born January 27, 1950 in Chicago, IL to Donald and Ruth “Gail” (Smith) MacSwain. As an infant, he moved with his family to Gillett, later going with them to the Wausau area where he spent his childhood. As a teenager they moved to Ashwaubenon where he graduated high school with the class of 1968. Randy then served four years in the US Coast Guard during the Vietnam War. Following his honorable discharge, he attended college and graduated with a degree in drafting. Because of his drafting background, he became interested in construction and started Randval Construction in the Wrightstown area as a builder of residential homes for many years. He later worked as a motor-coach driver and later J & W Transport in Green Bay, retiring just one year ago. Five years ago he moved to Oconto Falls and eventually met Lucy LaBrosse, together they enjoyed doing things together and fell in love. He enjoyed dancing, fishing and being a member of the Smokers Club at the Green Bay Yacht Club. Randy will be fondly remembered as an outdoors person who loved being with people and always willing to lend a hand.
Survivors are his two sons, Ryan (Jenny) MacSwain and their son, Lincoln, St. Paul, MN; Paul (Sarah) MacSwain, Milwaukee; significant other, Lucy LaBrosse, Oconto Falls; one sister, Wendy (special friend Tim) MacSwain, DePere; special aunt and uncle, Nancy and Clayton Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Robin and one sister Jo Ann.
Visitation and reception with the urn present will be held 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls. Military honors conducted by Oconto Falls American Legion Post #302 and Rolling Thunder members.
