Kerry Krause, 67, Oconto Falls, died early Saturday morning, September 30, 2023 at Meadowbrook at Oconto Falls following a history of health complications. He was born October 22, 1955 in Oconto Falls to Alfred and Joan (Knudson) Krause Jr. Kerry grew up on the family farm in rural Oconto Falls and attended public schools, graduating high school with the class of 1974. It was on his families’ farm where he learned a hard work ethic and developed mechanical skills. Kerry worked at Patz Manufacturing for 10 years before being employed as a mechanical electrician at Aarrowcast in Shawano for 30 years. Kerry will be fondly remembered for his love of animals, especially dogs and cats, his joy in driving his Corvette and ability to fix many things.
Survivors are his four sisters, Kris (Kenn) Kobs; Karla Krause; twin Karen (Steve) Herms; Koreen (Mike) Peterson, all of Oconto Falls; nieces and nephews: Kathryn Kobs and son, Tyler; Kim (Stacey) Steers and their children, Gunner, Ella and Addison; Kristy (Mike) Gorman and their children, Bridgett, Bailee and Brylee; Joe and Jeff Bitters; Brady (Chue Lee) Stymiest and her children, Ekin, Tyson and Analise, Nathan Stymiest and children Nora and Ezra; Lindsey (Matt) Hartin and their children, Grady, Alec, Mabry and Camryn, Jared Peterson; Zach Herms and children, Braeden, Brett, Andersen and Gracie; special cousins, Scott (Joanne) Schroeder and Kelly (Tom) Delzer and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Debbie in 2022, his grandparents, Alfred and Elinor Krause Sr. and Gustave and Thelma Knudson, Aunt Valerie (Beauford) Schroeder, Uncle John Knudson and one cousin Kandi Wendt.
Visitation with the urn present will be from 2:00 until 6:00 PM Friday, October 13, 2023 at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls. A service of remembrance will follow 6:00 PM Friday. Private burial will take place at a later date.
The Krause family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staffs of St. Clare and St. Vincent Hospitals as well as Meadowbrook Health Care Center.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to the Oconto County Humane Society, 150 S. Katch Dr. Oconto, WI 54153.
