Jean Lockstein

January 14, 1953 — October 20, 2024

Jean Lockstein, 71, Gillett, died Sunday morning, October 20, 2024 at a Shawano health care facility.  She was born January 14, 1953 in Marinette to Lawrence and Elizabeth (Hoffman) Stujenske.  Jean grew up in Marinette and Green Bay, graduating from Bayport High School.

On July 20, 1974 she married John Lockstein at St. John the Baptist Church in Howard.  The couple lived in rural Gillett all of their married lives where Jean once worked for the shoe factory in Pulaski and Gillett Canning.  She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Gillett.  Jean will be lovingly remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed reading, doing puzzles and spoiling her cats.

Survivors are her husband of 50 years, John Lockstein Sr.; their two daughters, Marie (Truc) Nguyen and Bonnie (Erik) Seefeldt; daughter-in-law, Tina Parsons; seven grandchildren, Tyler (Lizzie) Lockstein, Ben, Joshua and Isabel Nguyen, Isaac, Gabrielle and Arthur Seefeldt; one great grandson, Leon Lockstein; her siblings, Tom Stujenske, Pat Stujenske, Joan (David) Sabel, Judy (John) Lerch, Randy (Donna) Stujenske and Brian Stujenske;; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son John Jr., brother Christopher Stujenske and brother-in-law Gust Lockstein Jr.

Visitation with the urn present will be held after 11:00 AM Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls until the time of service.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Chris Byars officiating.  Burial will follow in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.
