Jason Long, 43, Daphne, AL formerly of Oconto Falls, died Sunday evening, January 7, 2024 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay. He was born May 3, 1980 in Green Bay to Jesse and Sharon (Hedstrom) Long. Jason grew up in the Oconto Falls area where he attended public schools, graduating from Oconto Falls High School with the class of 1998 and was a member of the 1997 state football team. After high school, he attended Herzing College and received an associate degree in CAD Drafting.
He met the love of his life and best friend Chasidy and together, they loved to travel and try unique restaurants. Jason enjoyed coming back to Wisconsin to hunt and fish with his Dad. He was an avid Packer fan and enjoyed woodworking and if you were privileged to own one of his cribbage boards or custom designed cutting boards consider yourself honored. He will be missed by his dog, Zeus.
Survivors are his loving and devoted wife, Chasidy Long; his parents, Jesse and Sharon Long; stepchildren, Jaden and Adriyen; three grandchildren, Alyza, Aiden and Avery; two brothers, Jesse Long Jr. and Josh (Ruth) Long; one sister, Susan (Nicole); mother-in-law Lizzie and brother-in-law, Bryant; maternal grandmother, Lavern Hedstrom, aunts and uncles, Randy (Johanna), Rachel, Steve (Sue), Ali (Inez), Frank (Patt), Debbie (Lee), Linda (Jim), Brian (Echo), Helen and Danny; his Alabama family, Jen McCree, Mike Thompson, Dan Vaughn and his Indusco Environmental Service coworkers, many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Naomi Long and Art Hedstrom, uncle Jerry, uncle George and aunt Sheila, cousins Nathan, Stephanie, Amanda, Jack Jr. and Michael, father-in-law, Solomon Hardy.
Visitation with his urn present will be held after 10:00 AM Saturday, January 20, 2024 at the Oconto Gospel Chapel with memorial services to follow at 1:00 PM Saturday.
