Emma Schultz, 98, Oconto Falls, died Monday afternoon, February 26, 2024 at home. She was born July 31, 1925 in Oconto County to Gustav and Paulina (Deusterhoeft) Reichwald.
On April 27, 1946 she married Adolph S. Schultz in Gillett. The couple made their home in Oconto Falls where they farmed. She also worked at the local Gambles store. Always committed to her community, she volunteered for Home Respite Care, worked on the election board and was always willing to help others. Emma was a longtime and active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Gillett where she once sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. Emma will be fondly remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend.
Survivors are her two sons, Duane (Kathy) Schultz and Dean (Jo Ellyn) Schultz; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; one brother, Melvin (Lois) Reichwald; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Adolph in 1988, brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held after 12:00 noon Saturday, March 2, 2024 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Gillett until the time of service. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday at the church with Pastor Chris Byars officiating. To view livestream of the funeral service on Saturday, go to the church’s website: clockchurch.org. Burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oconto Falls at a later time.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund will be established.
