Delores M. Gallas

Delores M. Gallas, 93, Two Rivers, formerly Kelly Lake, died Sunday morning, September 3, 2023 at Meadow View Assisted Living in Two Rivers.  She was born May 30, 1930 in Two Rivers to Herman and Alice (Schmiling) Gagnon.  Delores grew up in Two Rivers where she attended St. Luke’s Catholic elementary school, later graduating Washington High School with the class of 1948.

On September 4, 1948 she married George Gallas at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in
Two Rivers.  Following their marriage, the couple lived in Two Rivers where Delores once worked at Schwartz Manufacturing, Eggers Plywood and the Gagnon family net company.  In 1989, the couple moved to Rhinelander before retiring to Kelly Lake in 1993.  Delores was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary Society.

Survivors are four children, Wayne (Barbara) Gallas, Mishicot; Vicki (Brad) Fouraker, Tampa, FL; Connie Hassmer, Two Rivers; Mary (Pat) Casey, Crivitz; one son-in-law, Paul Klessig, Francis Creek; 14 grandchildren, many great grandchildren; one brother, Herman (Kathleen) Gagnon, Two Rivers; one brother-in-law, Ed (Patti) Gallas, Oconto Falls; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George in 1997, one daughter Linda Klessig, son-in-law Dan Hassmer, one granddaughter Roxanne Lang and two sisters Donna Johnson and Marilyn Brefczynski.

Visitation with the urn present will take place after 9:00 AM Thursday, September 28, 2023 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Oconto Falls until the time of service.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at the church with the Rev. Fr. Bob Karuhn officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
