Alan Francis Kaiser bravely fought lung disease for five years before passing peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, on March 15, 2025. Alan was born on April 5, 1960 to Gerald and Carol (Baake) Kaiser. The oldest of their five children, he worked alongside his siblings on their family farm. Al spoke of his family, and their memories there and beyond, fondly and often.
After marrying Laura Williquette on August 1, 1992, they raised three daughters together in Oconto Falls. Al's Gals, as he affectionately called them, were always by his side. He taught them to change oil in their cars, fix a lawnmower, make home repairs, and so much more. When he wasn't teaching them to be handywomen, he was taking them hunting, fishing or up to the cottage for the weekend. Al and Laura's favorite time spent together was on the lake in the early morning in the kayaks, bumming around vintage stores, tending their beautiful gardens, and taking romantic strolls through the farmer's markets. His girls were the apple of his eye, that is until his three grandsons came along and stole his whole heart. Bumpa was a great baker, mentor, nature guide, and Hot Wheels mechanic. His boys were the guiding force in his fight. With a skill set as big as his heart, Alan was a helper to all, a maker of anything imaginable, and a fixer of everything. He was often found in his garage, listening to oldies, fixing or building something.
Al spent a lot of his career in construction and driving semi and dump truck, most of those years at McKeefry & Sons and McDermid's. He later found his calling in boat manufacturing. He worked at Northport Marine in Gillett for over 10 years and found great pride in building boats by hand, seeing them on the water while he was out fishing, saying "hey, I probably built that boat over there." Al had an amazing work ethic and missed working after having to retire in 2024.
Al is survived by his wife, Laura; daughters and sons-in-law, Bobbi Jo and Jeff Jelen, Michaela Kaiser and Kenan Pulver, Samara and Eric Junio; grandsons, Henry Jelen, Eli Kaiser-Junio, and Arthur Junio; grandpup, Peggy Sue Kaiser; siblings, Greg and Lori Kaiser, Missy and Jeff Pashek, Holly and Carl Montoure, Bob and Nikki Kaiser; mother-in-law, Marilyn Williquette; brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunt, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many close family friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Carol Kaiser; father-in-law, Ken Williquette; and grandchildren, Alivia and Brock Jelen.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 after 10:00 AM at Jones Funeral Service, Oconto Falls until the time of service. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Shadrach Muhima officiating.
